Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE) Policy

SMH Technologies is a global leader in design, development, production, assistance and marketing of programming systems for electronic boards, and has internally implemented an Integrated Management System for quality, health and safety on the workplace and the environment, compliant with the requirements of the UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN 45001 and UNI EN ISO 14001 standards.

The organization has equipped itself with a complete and methodical tool to guarantee full customer satisfaction, compliance with the provisions relating to the products and services supplied, developing aspects related to health and safety of workers over time, as well as respect for the environment and continuous improvement of performances in terms of safety. This tool must be of help and support in achieving these objectives, and generally improving its way of working on a daily basis.

The Management, well aware that the aspects of Quality, in terms of Health and Safety at Work and the Environment directly influence the Company’s position on the market and the consequent profitability, places the following objectives at the basis of its company policy:

  • carry out its business by providing products and services that completely satisfy the needs and expectations of customers; implementing, where necessary, specific activities aimed at increasing the company’s presence on the market (opening new offices, creating new partnerships);
  • identify and continuously monitor the changing needs and expectations of customers;
  • guarantee the constant satisfaction of the mandatory requirements related to safety, environment and legislation applicable to the nature of the products produced and the services offered, as well as compliance with any other requirements that the company decides to voluntarily sign;
  • manage its products and activities in view of eliminating dangers and reducing risks to health and safety at work; prevent and reduce potential negative effects for operators, the environment and customers;
  • adopt adequate actions to address risks and opportunities associated with its processes, environmental and safety aspects, compliance obligations and other context factors and requirements of the interested parties;
  • determine, control and reduce significant environmental impacts deriving from the performed activity, taking into account the context and requests from interested parties;
  • optimize the consumption of energy resources;
  • clearly define the roles and responsibilities within the structure;
  • guarantee the competence and professionalism of the staff;
  • promote information, education, training and awareness of staff, creating an ever-increasing awareness among employees in regards of safety and environmental issues and the effect that their activities can have;
  • encourage the consultation and participation of workers, also through their representatives, in the process of preventing risks in terms of health and safety and managing the integrated management system;
  • always respect the commitments undertaken;
  • ensure the availability of an adequate after-sales assistance service;
  • choose its suppliers appropriately and seek constant collaboration with them, especially for the production of electronic boards and electrical wiring;
  • monitor its processes in order to guarantee their continued effectiveness and efficiency, as well as their optimization;
  • minimize and constantly monitor non-conformities;
  • guarantee customer satisfaction by privileging the prevention of problems rather than corrective intervention;
  • guarantee to all its coworkers the possibility of working in a suitable environment that complies with current regulations on safety and hygiene at work;
  • provide safe and healthy working conditions with the aim of preventing work-related injuries, accidents and illnesses;
  • seek continuous improvement in the areas of quality, health and safety of workers, reduction of risks to the health and safety of workers, improvement of its environmental performance and protection of the environment, including the prevention of pollution, involving all staff and putting adequate resources available.

To give concrete value to the purposes set out above, the Company will collect data connected to the performed activity and develop measurable goals defined during periodic management reviews.
