FlashRunner™ In-System Programmer (ISP) line from SMH-Technologies supports the C2000 Delfino TMS320F2837xD MCUs from Texas Instruments

FlashRunner programmer now support the TI C2000™ Delfino™ TMS320F2837xD microcontroller (MCU), a powerful 32-bit floating-point MCU that lets designers consolidate control architectures and eliminate multiprocessor use in high-end systems.

The dual-core F2837xD supports a new dual-core C28x architecture that significantly boosts system performance while further providing consolidation through integrated analog and control peripherals. The dual real-time control subsystems are based on TI’s 32-bit C28x floating-point CPUs with a newly integrated trigonometric math unit which enables fast execution of algorithms with trigonometric operations common in transforms and torque loop calculations. The F2837xD features two real-time control accelerators, also known as CLAs and supports up to 1MB of onboard flash memory with error correction code (ECC) and up to 204KB of SRAM. Two 128-bit secure zones are also available on each CPU for code protection. Performance analog and control peripherals are also integrated, a new universal parallel port (uPP) supports high-speed parallel connection to FPGAs or other processors with similar uPP interfaces. Lastly, a USB 2.0 host port with MAC and PHY lets users easily add universal serial bus (USB) connectivity to their application.

The programming of the F2837xD microcontrollers with In-Circuit or In-System (ISP) from SMH Technologies eliminates limitations associated with traditional programmable devices (On-Socket or Pre-Programmed). ISP delivers benefits to In-Board and System Level design, manufacturing and programming processes.
FlashRunner has been designed for maximum performance and reliability. Now, FlashRunner’s open architecture makes its firmware easily upgradable to support also TI TMS320F2837xD devices.
